Don Pettinger Born Dec. 21, 1961, Hully, Colo. One of the all-time leaders at Remington Park, Pettinger rode Clever Trevor to a sixth-place finish in the 1991 Breeders' Cup Sprint in his sole Breeders' Cup appearance

Major 1996 winsinclude the Derby Trial and Bachelor Stakes on Valid Expectations; the Round Table Stakes on Slew O Mink; the Oaklawn Breeders' Cup, Modesty, and Arlington Matron Handicaps on Belle of Cozzene; and the Silver Bullet Centennial Handicap on Golden Gear Through Oct. 7, Pettinger has won with 103 of his 621 mounts this year and has earned $1,957,113. Was introduced to racing by his brother David, a former jockey, and started as a groom at bush tracks in his native Colorado Won the 1989 Arlington Classic with Clever Trevor Set a Turf Paradise apprentice record with 119 wins in 1980-81.
