  • Racing Career: Purchased Tidal Pool’s dam while she was carrying Tidal Pool at the 2006 Keeneland November breeding stock sale for $125,000 … Sold Tidal Pool for $120,000 at the 2008 Keeneland September yearling sale … She was resold for $220,000 to Westrock Stables at the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Co. February two-year-olds in training sale …  Ventured into Thoroughbred ownership around 1990 using money from the sale of Camping World ... He bought three yearlings with the help of Robert Clay, owner of Three Chimneys Farm, who Garvin met at Harvard. Garvin also inherited a love of racing. He said his great-grandfather and grandfather were avid racing fans and both raised horses. They would take Garvin to Churchill Downs a couple times a year.
